I silently viewed some chinstrap penguins socializing on Robert Island, part of Antarctica’s South Shetland Island chain. Not far from Robert Point, one of my fellow travelers started walking up a path seemingly into the clouds. The penguins themselves turned to watch him and seemed to acknowledge the curious visitors to their stunning island on a sunny day in the Antarctic.
