Today was our last full day on the Big Island.
We enjoyed another low-key day by heading to the Kings Shops in Waikoloa to look around. We ate the food court where I had some unusual Hawaiian pork barbecue sandwich at Subway. For desert, we all had shaved ices.
During the afternoon, we returned to our beach on Anaeho’omalu Bay where we snorkeled in the ocean and also went to the pool. I went for a 10K run later that afternoon on a lagoon trail, and it was so hot there even in the shade. I don’t know how you could do an Ironman at such a hot course.
Later, we all grabbed dinner at one of our resort’s restaurants before going down by our lagoon to watch sunset. It was a perfect way to wrap up our trip to the Big Island.
